PREMIO LITERARIO ARCEBISPO JUAN DE SAN CLEMENTE
O Premio de narrativa "Arcebispo Juan de San Clemente" proponse converter a alumnos de Bacharelato en protagonistas á hora de outorgar un Premio Literario. O Xurado deste Premio está formado por alumnos de Bacharelato do Instituto “Rosalía de Castro” de Santiago, organizador do Premio, e de catro Institutos máis, elexidos por sorteo, un de cada provincia galega. Esto é o novidoso do Premio, pois, normalmente, os mozos e as mozas son os grandes esquecidos dos Xurados Literarios e eles poden ter uns gustos e unhas opinións moi diferenciadas que non debemos ignorar.O Premio, que ten tres modalidades, Novela Galega, Novela Castelá e Novela Estranxeira, está dotado con 9000 euros e premia á mellor novela do ano en cada modalidade.
No día da entrega do Premio os alumnos son os auténticos protagonistas do acto e cada xurado de alumnos comparte mesa e mantel co escritor premiado no marco dunha gran festa.
PREMIO LITERARIO ARZOBISPO JUAN DE SAN CLEMENTE
El Premio de narrativa "Arzobispo Juan de San Clemente" se propone convertir a los alumnos de Bachillerato en protagonistas a la hora de otorgar un Premio Literario ya que el Jurado de este Premio esta formado por alumnos de Bachillerato del Instituto “Rosalía de Castro” de Santiago y de cuatro Institutos más de Galicia, elegidos por sorteo. Esto es lo novedoso del Premio, pues, normalmente, los jóvenes son los grandes olvidados de los Jurados Literarios y ellos pueden tener unos gustos y unas opiniones muy diferenciadas que no debemos ignorar. También se pretende, en una época de gran predominio de lo audiovisual, colaborar en el fomento de la lectura entre los jóvenes, por ser este uno de los problemas más importantes con que nos encontramos cada día en la formación de la juventud.
El día de la entrega del Premio los alumnos son los auténticos protagonistas del acto y cada jurado de alumnos comparte mesa y mantel con el escritor premiado en el marco de una gran fiesta. El Premio, que tiene tres modalidades, Novela Gallega, Novela Castellana, y Novela Extranjera, está dotado con 9.000 euros.
LITERARY AWARD “ARCEBISPO JUAN DE SAN CLEMENTE”
The Literary Award “ARCEBISPO JUAN DE SAN CLEMENTE” has 3 different categories: the best novel written in Galician (our own language), the best novel written in Spanish, and the best novel written in a foreign language and translated into Spanish or Galician. There are 3 juries, one for each category. Each jury consists of 10 students in their final year of high school.The students are from our school and from other 4 schools in Galicia (one for each province). This guarantees a totally independent and very enthusiastic jury. They choose the best novel from a selection of three.
The award-giving day is a festive occasion on which both the students and the authors are the main characters. It is undoubtedly an unforgettable day for the students who can enjoy being with the authors of the books they have chosen as the best novels of the year.
Among the writers awarded in previous editions we are proud to have had with us some world renowned authors: Vargas Llosa,Tarik Ali, Javier Marias, Tabucchi, Saramago, Baricco, Paul Auster, Amélie Nothomb, Carlos Fuentes, Jostein Gaarder, Eugenides, Almudena Grandes, Mazzucco, Cercas, Jehoshua, Pombo, Gaite.., and all of them visited our school to receive the prize.
PRIX LITTÉRAIRE “ARCEBISPO JUAN DE SAN CLEMENTE”
Le prix littéraire “San Clemente” de lecteurs jeunes c’est un prix dont le jury est composé de jeunes lycéens de La Galice (Espagne). Ces jeunes lycéens choisissent le meilleur roman de l’année en langue galicienne, en langue espagnole et en langue étrangère (ni galicienne, ni espagnole). C’est un jury complètement indépendant et très enthousiaste . Un grand nombre d’écrivains très importants sont venus dans notre ville pour recevoir ce prix. Parmi eux Paul Auster, Amélie Nothomb, Vargas Llosa, Saramago, Carlos Fuentes, Jostein Gaarder,... etc.
Le jour de la remise des prix c’est un jour de fête dans lequel les élèves et les écrivains sont les grands protagonistes, pour les élèves c’est un jour fantastique grâce à la présence des écrivains qu’ils ont choisis.
